August 29, 1998 - Wulfen

Well, I had to leave early to go get a family portrait taken, so this report is getting posted earlier than usual. Due to my early departure, I only got two hours of picketing in, but better that than nothing.

The complement when I left was five, all busily enturbulating the theta of the passers-by with invalid processes (uh, oops). Flyers were the usual Xenu/Canadian crimes/Greek ban, with added URLs.

We had our pictures taken, for the first time in several pickets. Across the road, a guy was leaning against the corner of the hairdressers shop and taking pictures. I pointed him out to the other picketers and he left.. :(

Then... And this was even funnier: I saw someone (same guy? different?) videotaping us from the same place! I pointed him out to Artemis, and then turned around to point him out to the other SP's, but he was gone when I turned back around.. Heh.

A body router near the Hubbard Dianetics Foundation end of the Org was playing the usual games, trying to route passers-by away from whoever was there giving away flyers. I stepped to the other side of the sidewalk, problem solved.

Then I took off, because the GO commuter train here only comes on the hour. I can't wait to read the rest of the picket reports. I wonder if lunch was as interesting as last time? I'm still laughing about that. :-)

As a final note, I'm dedicating this picket to Keith Henson, Deana Holmes, Bob Minton, Stacy Young, Zinjifar, and anyone else who'd had their homes and neighborhoods picketed or leafleted by Scientologists in the past two weeks. Picketing and otherwise harrassing critics is something happening NOW, and it just goes to show that Scientology isn't changing its ways. All the more reason to oppose the criminal "Church"... So they can't hurt people and get away with it.
