I must have touched a nerve with my "What is David Lee Doing?" post.
This morning at approximately 11am MST, Unethical, Scientology-Cult PI, David Lee called my mother in order to obtain my phone number. In fact, he already had it, and my mother verified that the number he had was correct. -Ray

Subject: David Lee Again.

In the 1980's a Private investigator named David Lee left the US to work in the UK. He got a job as head of the special investigative unit for Price Waterhouse, where he apparently made false claims of having worked for various Government agencies as an intelligence operative.

According to my source on this info, after many bungled investigations, and a rash of "criminal and unethical private investigations", David Lee was sent packing. Price Waterhouse kept mostly quiet about this because of the fact that they considered it largely an extremely embarassing episode, considering the sensitive financial nature of their work, they didn't need or want a scandal.

As was somewhat expected, David Lee - Scientology PI - did call me tonight. He claimed that some of the information in my previous post was not correct. I would point out that in general, the information comes from multiple sources, and I trust those sources. Also, interestingly enough, he'd done at least some checking into my background. Enough to know about money problems that I'd had in the past.

I know that David will be reading this post, so I feel that I would like to address him directly with the following paragraphs.

David,
You expressed some surprise at the fact that I was spending no small amount of effort in investigating you. You're right. I am. And there is a reason. You have chosen a side in this battle and you are, to put it bluntly, one of "them," and you're in the way. You expressed that my actions have the potential of making this "personal," and I know you didn't mean that as a direct threat, but you meant that you will become interested in this person who's suddenly posting your darkest secrets. The irony is staggering. The man who investigates backgrounds to find dirt is having his background investigated to find dirt and is upset enough to retaliate by finding dirt on the man who investigates his background.

If I were to have my history investigated, and all the many and various things I've done wrong were found out (and there are many things, and they ARE various, I am after all A Human Being(tm) and not "pure as the driven snow," like scientology officials)...and should those things be posted on ARS and on the web for all to see... And should they be distributed to my family and my friends and my loved ones and my neighbors as has been done with Vaughn Young, Stacy Young, Gerry Armstrong, Arnie Lerma, Lawrence Wollersheim, Bob Minton and so many, many other people. Then I would stand up and take the embarassment with pride and defiance... because when it's all said and done.... I couldn't ask for better company.

From 3 March 98:
I have reason to believe that Scientology Private Investigator David Lee has fraudulently pulled banking and credit information on me. In addition to a phone call he made to my mother this weekend, which seems to be saying "We know where your family is." In fact, David Lee admitted to me in a phone call that he pulled banking records just this last week.

As is now widely known, I am to testify in Grady Wards Trial. I believe that the sudden attention from Scientology hired PI David Lee, his call to me and his call to my Mother, may be an attempt at witness tampering in an overall effort to stop me from testifying and stop me from criticising not just him, but the criminal cult of scientology.

It has become clear to me that this cult will do ANYTHING to win the Grady case, despite the truth. -Ray
