1:46-2:46pm, 14 vehicles and no police again. It's beginning to seem like all the traffic is there for real and not for my benefit. Although a few weeks ago 12 vehicles was a busy day. Today we spoke not a word. None of them gave me The Stare, none came out for a smoke break.
It was an absolutely nothing picket.
Today I had a real picket sign, well constructed, official.

And now on to streetspace. 1/3/96
A lovely sight. 11 vehicles. two more showed up while I was there, but still the opening count was 11. Two police vehicles, one never even looked my way. I think the police scenario is over. Was over. One girl, about 16, asked who Larry was. Then who Wollersheim was. Then about the money. I sent her back inside to ask them. Again today none came out for a smoke break. None of the staff spoke to me at all. No eye contact again. When I look in the door they avert thier gazes. I'm winning. The media: I have not alerted the media, I'm waiting for them to discover me. I may not even interview when they do. I think that no comments from me will get more air time from them. Something like that. I'll be glad when I have newspaper articles to post.

Today was a double picket. 1:15-2:15pm and 5:40-6:30 pm. The vehicle count was 8 and a few more showed up, and some left and so it is back to 8-12 vehicles. Just like Nov.
Today was uneventful.
1/3/96 I had went back in the evening and did a second picket that day. 5:30-6:30pm.
One guy came out and actually smirked at me for about 15 minutes. Another guy came out and joined him and the two of them pointed at me and laughed loudly for a while, all the while talking low so I could not hear them. And I just gave them TR 0. Just like the tech teaches. This went on for about 20 minutes total. And I'm just walking back and forth while it's going on. When one of them leaves in his car he flashed the brights in my face a few times, with a real big smile on the face. So. Tonight I went back at about the same time so we could all play again. But they never came out the building tonight. It seems they are getting bolder, they have been coming out for smokes lately. None of the staff have yet to speak to me. At this afternoon's picket there was a uniform came out to watch for a few minutes and she did not speak either. All they do is look at me, and all I do is TR 0. This was the first uniform to appear since I've started the picket.
Whoever speaks first loses, but, if they haven't broken the silence by April I will.
This makes four hours picketing the last two days. OSA, what are you telling them? They know you know I'm out there, and still no Declare.
Some humorous things. One guy tonight, walking by quickly, asked if we are on strike. He caught me by surprise but I said yes, we are on strike here. Yesterday? A real big boy is walking by, he reads the sign and say's real gruffly, "why ain't Larry picketing?" This boy was too big, I didn't smile at the moment, but did manage to say, "uh, uh, uh Larry's in Colorado picketing". It was enough to make him happy.

1:30-2:30. Today a male about 40 yrs. came out and tried to engage me in silly conversation. Something about a bicycle. When he first came out and smiled expansively and said hello I stepped up my pace. With the roar of traffic we could only say a few words each time as I passed him. He was on the porch of the building. Eventually he asked about Larry and the money. I then asked him if he was staff. He said no. So I sent him inside the building to ask staff. Still no word from staff. No uniforms were in sight today.
And then action.
I cross six lanes of traffic to get to my car. When I got there I looked back at the building and two of them were moving the yellow dianetics sign next to a pole right on the street.
http://www.skylink.net/~teddy/ [picture is gone now]
This pole, not shown on the picture, is where the bus stop is. This pole has the sign bus stop on it. It looks like they left me a small gap between the pole and the sign for my marching.
OSA, three times now the police have given me the same rundown on the laws of picketing. Among them, I cannot be a danger to my self, I cannot be a danger to others. At the next picket I do the police will be called. At the next picket I will be on the property proper. By law I cannot walk in the streets. I'll have the police move the sign out of my path. I'm sure there are laws against blocking a city street with a billboard. Do you really think a pile of wood is going to stop me? If they put down snow I'll show up with ski's. Ice and I'll show up with skates. If you build a lake in front of the building I'll show up with a canoe. Pay Mr. Wollersheim his money and I won't be able to show up with that particular sign anymore. I may not picket tonight, I've got things to do. But come tomorrow I expect you to have that sign moved out of my path. Your people are acting stupidly out here. Fix it!

Today the Police were called.
I showed up 9:20am, late. I had wanted to open the doors for another day of business with them. The sign was still out by the street. There was a gap of about 4 feet for me to pass through between the sign and the pole right on the curb. So I walked right next to the building. And I mean right next to it. I was close enough to hear them talking inside whenever the door opened. For a little while, about 10 minutes they propped the door open and played me music. While the music was playing on guy came out and tried The Smile and The Stare. TR 0 ended that game and the music. 9:50 one Of the staff came out and spoke. It was Angelo.
A-you are on private property.
T- Call the police.
A- I will (he never left)
A- this is private property, you have to walk by the street.
T- Call the police.
A- You cannot picket on private property.
T- Move the sign or call the police.
At this point he left. 10:00 am the police showed up. One car initially, one officer. The cop tried to sneak up on me for some reason but I just waited on the side street for him. Well after a bit of talking we ended up in front of the building. I tried to point out that the sign was not leaving enough room for people at the bus stop and for me to march. The cop didn't want to hear it. He decided that a line in the concrete was the property line of the org. That if I walked on the other side of the line he would come back and get me for trespassing. My audience on the porch was happy about this exchange. So I told the cop OK, I'll keep the picket to a ten pace range on the narrow side of the line. Prior to today I had a forty pace range. The cop then went on the porch to talk with the victors of this first skirmish. A second car showed up and joined the first on the side street. My ID was checked and notes were made by them. The fact that I had notified them in advance was to my favor. By the time the two cops left it was about 10:20 and a third car was showing up. I ended this day's picket at 10:30am. So I lost the battle of the sign. For now. I have to check just how many feet the property line extends to. In a few weeks, maybe they'll get happy and put up even more billboards on the street first. So I lost and I won. The police came, the police left, and I was still marching.

3:30 - 4:30pm. Today I spent about 4 hours in City and County offices trying to determine the property line of the LV Org. Sahara Ave. turns out to be a no man's land. One side of the street is City, the other side is County. The Ave itself is State controlled. What a mess. Tomorrow an inspector from City Code Enforcement will check the sign out. The sign itself had been moved about 4 inches towards the building. I don't know if it was moved by scieno's or people waiting for the bus. Today's picket was uneventful. I never got The Stare and was only slightly graced with The Smile. No conversations. Still no Declare and still no word from management.

The sign remains so far. If its not moved by Fri I try the state offices. An uneventful picket, 2-3pm. Although the ED came out today for the first time. I never got The Stare or even The Smile. No conversation and no police action. Its almost imperceptible, but thier haughtiness is fading.

3:30-4:30pm. The sign was moved. It is back up against the building. The City Code Enforcement Inspector had to have ruled against them. Now I need to decide whether to let it go. According to the maps it was looking like the State property line goes right to the porch of the building. So if I were to push the issue further I could probably get rid of that yellow eyesore totally. I may or may not do it. Right now I have my 40 paces back and plenty of room to picket in. They did not give The Smile or The Stare today. Reality is catching up with my staffers. Too much time is passing, I keep showing up and I do not get Declared. I'm anticipating some true emotion from them soon. I expect one of them to shout any day now. I showed up to picket tonight at 10:20pm. They close at 11:00. My plan was to leave after the last one of them drove away. I don't want them thinking they are safe after the sun goes down. :) I need them looking out the door constantly to see if I'm there. 10:30 they had still not noticed me and I got bored with it and left, I'll close the doors with them another night.
OSA, They called the cops and I'm still marching. I called the City and the sign is moved. So tell me, how do you feel about that?

Nothing today, 3-4pm. No smile, stare or conversation. Nothing.

6:45-7:45pm. A call to arms is occurring. And the sign is back by the theoretical property line, moved away from the bus stop. There are chalk marks on the sidewalk, they were there yesterday. It could well be they are going to try to force me off the front of the building. Mon. I hit the state offices.
And it's time to name some names. This post I archive OSA.
Dennis Maginot. He holds some SO post I believe. He heads the local CCHR here, which is a phone number only the last I heard. His phone number. This guy carries lock pick tools and can use them: Four of us were sitting in the yard of CCLV one summer night. There was an old gumball machine in a pile of rubble. I'd been looking at that machine for a year in the rubble. That night I picked it up and shook it hard and we heard money in it. This was an old heavy metal base machine with two rectangles on the top for candy. I went to get some tools and smash it open. Dennis said that wasn't necessary. He got his tools and quickly picked both locks. Maginot works for a lawyer doing investigations. He would tell me the problems and techniques of tailing people, things like that. And now they've called Dennis in on me. Doug Erickson is a scieno that goes way back. He gave me a real special Smile tonight. Janne Bjork is the ED at CCLV. He showed up tonight. The org was jumping, day and foundation staff were both about. And while I have not been reporting it some of the night shift has been coming in early this past week or so.
So it looks like action, finally. 12/27/95 I started this picket. In the last 17 days I've missed three days only and have 15 picketing hours logged.

A "Call to Arms" is occurring here. About 2:30pm I parked 2 blocks away and came in on the back of the building through vacant lots. Not wanting to be spotted I counted the vehicles from a distance from behind a fence. There were 22 that I could see and probably 4 more off to the side out of view. So no picket today. They perform without an audience. CCLV had four vehicles parked. Definetly a call to arms.
These people just do not understand what's happening. I show up at my convience to do my hour dance in front of the temple. They have to wait the entire day for my arrival. You would think that the least they would do is to pick up the phone and ask me when I'm arriving. But I'm having a good time with this. I just love a game where I set the rules.
They should experience a rise in stats from this picket. I imagine its happening already. Bodys In The Shop will skyrocket for this Thur. Stats for them here may stay high for a while. But watch the crash that happens about March, if not sooner.
OSA, I probably will not show up again till the vehicle count drops. Please do not tell them this. I want to wear them down with false rally's. Please don't ruin it for me. Thanks for your help.
