I think the most interesting OSA-staff is definitely John Carmichael. I met him during the afternoon at the Holiday Inn when the press conference was held.
Not introducing himself he assaulted me right away by asking me how I would feel about my betrayal of "my friends" (He referred to a show on the 4th at a local Tampa radio station, when I discussed Scientology with Arnie Lerma, Birgitta Dagnell and Sylvia Stanard, PR Sec DC. Frankly, I didn't have too much positive to say about the CoS). When Carmichael attacked me he grinned all over his face as he would deliver charity gifts to homeless people during X-Mas in front of a dozen tv-cameras. I found that really strange.
My first thought was that Carmichael is the proof that life from outer-space truly exists, as he is for sure completely out of this world. Another option would be that he is some kind of a role model for "Tone Scale 1.1" in Golden Era-movies and he did that too often.
Another interesting incident happened on December 8th: We drove by the Clearwater Police Department when I saw some persons in front of the entrance handing out leaflets. I went out of the car and walked towards the entrance. One of the women handed me a leaflet. As I had guessed it they were OSA-people handing out a "noisy questionnaire" about CWPD and Sid Klein. I asked the woman if I could get another one and she handed me a second leaflet.
Then a man came by and asked where I would came from. I responded: "Germany." The OSA people immediately wrapped up everything and left the scene. It was incredible.
It seems that OSA believes of a big German conspiracy that has now entered the United States. This is also reflected in the OSA-allegations against Bob Minton, who acts against Scn as "another agent of the German government".
On December, 9th Peter Reichelt made an interview with Brian Anderson who played a tragic role in front of the Clearwater Bank-building. At one time he was helplessly denying that a RPF would exist and accusing us of being Nazis, while at the next moment he would tell us where the RPF would work and saying that Peter Reichelt isn't actually a Nazi. During the interview I was sitting in front of the CB watching the OSA-staff coming out of the building with some kind of a program "to handle the Saint Petersburg Times. My special friend Humberto Fontana showed up too and he couldn't resist "doing his thing" by asking me: "How much did you get payed?" I offered sending him a bank account slip but strangely enough he wasn't interested.
During the picket I saw one of my best friends during my "Sea Org Career", Guillermo Colin. He was working for OSA and videotaping me and other picketers. That was a strange experience to see him as I thought that he had left the Sea Org.

From Rev. Dennis Erlich, a memory from 1979:
One afternoon I heard whispers that Billy is picketing outside in front of the Greymoss Inn across the street from the FH. I go look, and sure enough. There he is, marching silently back and forth across the street. I am stunned.
His sign says "THE SCIENOS STOLE MY CHURCH!"
From what I found out later, he had been taken to Gillman Hot Springs in California, imprisoned, had escaped, and came back to CW to reclaim his position. The security guards would not let him in. He was declared a Suppressive Person. He had gone to the police to see if they could do anything regarding the takeover of his church, and been turned away.
All he could do was march silently.
