In 1990 I bought a New OT8 solid gold bracelet on the Freewinds.
Price tag....$3,250.00
In the late 1990s I had to sell it, and I only got $125 for the gold value.
Speaks for itself, doesnt it?!
Glad to out. Disappointed at being sooooooo scammed.
Michael.

Hi. Well, yes it sold for $100.
Trying to remember, without digging up the receipt, I paid at least $160 for it in 1982. Of course this was the era that the Hunt bros. were cornering the market on silver and it was up to $30 or more per ounce. And Richard Stewart was selling bags of silver dollars to scientologists.
Yes it is, at $100, about what you pay now. But again, I don't think the new ones have the LRH initial on them.
I liked the old Saint Hill designs with the plain background behind the occult scientology symbol. I thought the textured stuff was too disco and cheesy.
And Michael and Tory and the others are right. It is just a rip-off, with no real respect for history or tradition in scientology. I can hardly believe what Michael paid for his OT 8 bracelet. Dang!
But it is symptomatic. Now, everybody has to re-do their courses, even if they had a 'permanent' cert. The bulletins and policy are changed with no trace back to the original issues and without physical evidence of hubbard authorizing the changes. (snip)
It is careful and wholesale obliteration of the past. So it is not surprising that an original designed clear bracelet would get only passing interest.
