======== Subject: CW '99 Was Great! From: cultxpt@primenet.com (Jeff Jacobsen) Date: Tue, 07 Dec 1999 06:36:40 GMT Message-ID: <384ca984.3573717@news.primenet.com> Just got home tonight from a week in Clearwater Florida. Nice town, sorry about the cult. This was our 5th event in Clearwater and imho was the best ever. Around 40 people too, so we've been upstat EVERY TIME! I had the thought this year with all the chess moves going on both sides over where we can picket, etc. Scientology's side has 2 brains that run what they do; LRH's and DM's. Our side had 40 brains thinking up what to do. Decide for yourself which worked better. :) My favorite part was the pickup in front of the Sandcastle. That was simply brilliant guys! 2nd best was having Gabe talk about Co$ sneaking into Clearwater from the mayor's viewpoint, then Gerry Armstrong speaking about Co$ sneaking into town from one of the sneaker's viewpoint! I picketed Sunday with about a dozen folks. It was fun. The whole week was mostly fun. On our side I'd say that fun was the operating word. On Scientology's side I'd say the operating word was paranoia. * * * * http://www.primenet.com/~cultxpt/cos.htm ======== Subject: All the ways Co$ hid in CW '99 From: cultxpt@primenet.com (Jeff Jacobsen) Date: Wed, 08 Dec 1999 01:57:22 GMT Message-ID: <384db905.32804016@news.primenet.com> I'd like to make a complete list of all the methods Co$ used in Clearwater this year for hiding from us picketers. Below is my start: 1) tearing up the sidewalks 2) parking U-Haul trucks to hide any picketers across from the Sandcastle 3) putting a tunnel over the sidewalk across from the Ft. Harrison Hotel. 4) putting barriers every 3 feet in the gap between the east curb and the tunnel 5) spray painting the 10 foot border around Co$ properties 6) putting plywood over the building windows on the south east corner of Ft. Harrison and Cleveland 7) putting Santa Claus' big chair and decorations over the Bank building front entrance 8) carpooling Scientologists everywhere, even just 2 blocks away 9) covering the van windows with decor and opaque material 10) security personnel keeping detailed reports of where every picketer was 11) putting children at tables on Cleveland street so the picketers would be afraid to appear to be picketing kids (see, they know WE have a conscience) 12) ? * * * * http://www.primenet.com/~cultxpt/cos.htm ======== Subject: cw99.htm updated From: cultxpt@primenet.com (Jeff Jacobsen) Date: Thu, 09 Dec 1999 02:05:04 GMT Message-ID: <384f0e0b.33138921@news.primenet.com> http://www.lisamcpherson.org/cw99.htm has been converted from a promotional for our events to an overview of what happened - or at least that's what I'm gradually doing. I got my pictures developed today and plan to put them up tomorrow. * * * * http://www.primenet.com/~cultxpt/cos.htm ======== Subject: the most disgusting thing at CW 99 From: cultxpt@primenet.com (Jeff Jacobsen) Date: Fri, 10 Dec 1999 01:59:07 GMT Message-ID: <38505c9f.5765815@news.primenet.com> I went downtown Thursday night (? it's all a blur!!) and picketed about an hour with a small gang. I had my scanner along and put it in the leg pocket of my pants so it wasn't really visible. I listened to the Co$ security guys keeping tabs of precisely where each of us was. In fact, as we were driving down there we were followed by a guy announcing our 2 cars heading that way, and others telling where Mark Bunker and others were. The creepiest, sleaziest thing that happened this year, imho, was when a Clearwater citizen stopped to talk to some picketers along the north side of the Ft. Harrison Hotel. As the guy was driving out of the parking lot after a short conversation, the security guy said over the radio [paraphrased] "get the license plate number of the white pickup truck going north on Osceola." Now, why in Hell would they need this guy's license plate number? What did he do? Were they planning to picket his home for speaking to us a few minutes? Here was a random Clearwater citizen just talking to some people for a few minutes, and Scientology decided they needed to spy on him and probably investigate him. Talk about scummy, and they call themselves a "church!" After this year I believe "Occupied Clearwater" is an appropriate phrase. * * * * http://www.primenet.com/~cultxpt/cos.htm ======== Subject: my pics of CW '99 up From: cultxpt@primenet.com (Jeff Jacobsen) Date: Sun, 12 Dec 1999 01:04:12 GMT Message-ID: <3852f432.2952644@news.primenet.com> I put a few of my pics up at http://www.primenet.com/~cultxpt/mycw99.htm Not much new there, just my own pics.
