[.....snip........]

Finally, I went out to the San Francisco Mission
on 701 Sutter Street this weekend. It is on the
3rd floor. It has no signs out front. (At least
put up a sign, if not to help the picketers, for
the folks like me who want to troll the damned
place- apparently the landlord will not allow them
to put up a sign, for whatever reason). At one
time, it had occupied a nearby store front (from
what I gathered from 2 staffers, other than the
ED, the Mishin is shrinkin'!). When I was there,
I asked if any staff members were openly gay -
since San Francisco is such a liberal city and
all, you might expect that. Well, none of the
three staff members I spoke with said they knew
any gay staffers - and there are 75-80 on staff at
the Org on McCallister (sp?). Statistically, this
should be impossible - in San Francisco
especially, where gays are not merely tolerated,
but accepted! But it is not surprising. After
all, in Dianetics gays are referred to as
"perverts," "sexual deviants," and as "quite ill."
This sort of hate is expressed by the cult in
many different areas.

I interviewed with the Mission holder/ED, and
asked him what the nature of Scientology's
relationship with psychiatry was. He said flatly,
"HATRED!"

I'd like to know how gays are "reformed" in
Scientology, or, if not that, how they are
actively discriminated against becoming staff
members.

This cult is dying, and nothing can stop the
process. So again, Scientology can not possibly
be aided by FACTNet's independent, and unrelated,
"organized" silliness.

And, good luck to the ED of the Sutter Street
Mission, who'll be on his way to LA this fall to
discover Xenu! This is a great moment in his
Scientology career - he will become one of the
very few who have reached the top of Scientology's
pyramidal structure, and look down on the other
Scientologists, and even wogs, and rededicate
himself to help them all cross the expensive path
which he has crossed to attain the knowledge of
Xenu. I couldn't get myself to break the news to
him - our conversation was rather pleasant, and
he'd have been shocked by news of an intergalactic
holocaust 75 million years ago. He didn't seem
spiritually prepared to handle that one (the tek
is right about this - knowing about Xenu at any
point before actually doing OT 3 greatly
jeopardizes a scientologist's willingness and
spiritual development that comes from paying for
the course), so I left it out for his sake (he'd
paid, and is too tightly wound into the cult
lifestyle for anything I can say to help him
out)...

-regards.
