He came. He saw. He blew. Just another story of a Scientologist.
This one looks like he ran down the hall screaming.

On a side note, I have never been accused of being evil and
suppresive for many, many lifetimes before. I guess I have
contributed more to the cause than I had previously thought.

Personally, I hated to see Mike go. He seemed to be a likeable sort.
However, he wasn't hardcore enough to face the truths about
Scientology and go blithely forward.

For Mike: I hope you read this. But, I am sorry we disagree about
reality. I truly wish you the best.

I thought Mike was one of the more sincere Scientologists posting on
ARS. He didn't run and hide when someone mentioned the magical OT
powers. He did respond to the OT powers question. I think this is
because he actually believes in them. I don't think the official
voices for the CoS believe in the OT powers.

I hope that Mike left because he was unhappy with what he read.
Others who have actually experienced the CoS first hand have suggested
he was placed into a condition of Doubt.

I think Mike is basically a good sort. The thought that the CoS might
have pressured him disturbs me. I don't understand why the CoS eats
its own young. Most of the most vehment critics are former members.
In fact the former members outnumber the faithful. As the church
attracts more members, they exponentially create more critcs.

Stopping the CoS should be easy. Just let it grow and everyone will
soon become former members. Afterwards, the only question is what to
do with the money.
