Time 2pm-2:30pm + a 5-10 minutes a little later.
Cars: 6 or so
Scientologists seen: 4
Picketers: 3
Flyers: had some, but no foot traffic to give them to.
Dr. Quincy, wynot, and I had picketed for about 15 minutes when we saw
Bubbles coming out of the org. Ah, she's here to take our pictures,
we thought, but she didn't have a camera with her and she passed right
past us on her way up the street. Pretty soon, she came back down the
other side of the street, past the org to the light. She then crossed
the street, going around to the back of the org to enter. That is
sure a long distance to walk to avoid passing by us.
Soon afterwards, Susan came out to take our pictures. Soon after
that, another girl (I'll call her Slim in future references, I
remember her from the May 22 "crimes" picket) came out of the org with
the same camera. She wasn't interested in pictures of wynot or me,
she wanted more pictures of the mysterious Dr. Quincy. Then Bubbles
came out with the same camera, for more pictures of Dr. Quincy. Dr.
Quincy kept holding her camera up taking pictures of the various
photographers. I asked Bubbles if all the previous pictures hadn't
come out, and she actually laughed! They must have been having
trouble at headquarters matching the pictures up.
We picketed without intervention from the scns after that, and no
police came. Perhaps they're concerned about having made so many
false alarm calls to the police in the past, since there is a Dekalb
Co. ordinance regarding that.
After about 30 minutes, we went to have lunch at the St. Louis Bread
Co, and who should walk in right behind us but Susan. We thought she
might be coming to join us for lunch, but she just bought a drink and
used the phone there. I wondered what was wrong with the phone in the
org... Perhaps she was giving them a report of what we were having
for lunch. Maybe she was describing Dr. Quincy to her superiors.
As we sat inside and ate, I noticed people with signs milling around
on the street in front of the org. Grabbed the vidcam, and began
filming through the window. Soon Susan came out from the org and
talked to the teenagers (all guys) with makeshift signs, along with
another kinda greasy looking scn we had seen there before, and we
realized they were there to counter picket us! Too late! Sooo sorry!

Dr. Quincy and I took wynot back to work, and returned to retrieve a
car, when we saw the young counter picketers walking away from the
org. We watched them as they passed right in front of the car; they
never even knew who we were, that we were the ones they were to have
counter picketed.
It was 3 mostly clean looking guys, and one other guy with a
punked-out 80's style hairdoo, who bore a vague resemblance to a
Hollywood version of a thug. The signs were rolled up, whatever
slogans were on the signs were hidden, but the signs were made on the
back of promotional posters used by fast food resturants in the
windows, such as "hamburger and fries with medium drink $3.99". I
wondered what would get these local teenagers to make up picket signs
and come to the org and picket? I wish I knew what the signs said.
Well, with the counter picketers gone, Dr. Quincy and I together
spontaneously decided to put in another 5-10 minute surprise return
picket, which resounded in a lot of evil sounding laughter and rubbing
of hands on our part. We approached the org slowly with our signs...
Susan was out in a flash, hounding Dr. Quincy about crimes, telling
about mine and wynot's crimes, etc. I'm glad Dr. Quincy got to
witness that behavior first-hand. The first picket had been kinda
boring for our special guest...
But really, Susan, I thought you were over this obsession with crimes.
It's just not healthy, for you or the baby. All that hate, it can eat
you up, and emotions produce chemical reactions in the body that can
affect your unborn child. Please take care of yourself.
Susan's baby boy is due in early December. In December, Scientology
will expand!
