At 11 a.m. I decloaked in front of the Atlanta org, only to find that
Ethercat and Wynot had not arrived yet. I lurked in the area until 11:30
a.m., when I popped over to a local hardware store and bought some
standard posterboard and a fat marker pen. I made my standard (and ever
so popular) "Scientology is a SCAM!" sign, and at 11:35 a.m. I began a
solo picket.
About 15 minutes into the picket, I hear "Boooo! Boooo!" from the St.
Louis Bread Company. I look over and see Wynot grinning at me. I have no
idea how they snuck by me, but there were Wynot and Ethercat grabbing a
bite before they joined me to picket.
As we continued the picket, we received acks from all directions.
During the 1 hour and 25 minute picket there were 52 total acks, which
is a substantial increase. Indeed, the residents of Dunwoody understand
and appreciate our efforts. One young lady yelled out "I'm a criminal
too!" as she drove by, and another lady made it a point to pull into the
org parking lot to thank us for the picket. Over at the bread store, an
elderly lady mentioned how we had guts to stand up to the cult.
The only responses we received from the org was for the standard picture
taking to occur, as well as one guy who chose to lean against his truck
and laugh at us for a few minutes. OT powerz at work no doubt.
I picketed alone for another 10 minutes while Wynot and Ethercat
returned to the bread company. I did this to see if we would get any
additional response from the org, but nothing happened.
So that's it, kids. Another picket with no response from anyone except
the public. The cops didn't even show up.
The Atlanta org is downstat.
