Subject: Picket Report; Busy in Atlanta (Revenge Picket Foiled!)

Shortly after noon Mad_Cow, Ethercat, and I arrived at the org,
armed with picket signs, FlyerPaks(TM), bottled water, and a video
camera. A woman was watering their tiny plot of ground by the
sidewalk, talking with another dresses all in blue (SO?). We
picketed for a few minutes before Linda showed up, complaining to
the mad one that we had forced her to interrupt her lunch! Poor
baby...
As usual, there was a constant stream of honks, waves, and thumbs up
from the passing traffic. We responded to all with cheery waves and
big smiles.
After about 20 minutes or so a police officer arrived, called by the
culties. Surprise! It was the officer who had been so friendly to
Mad_Cow and me the first time we picketed the new org. In fact, his
first words were "I hoped if I waited long enough you'd be gone!"
This said with a big smile... At that point the culty who had taken
our pictures 2 weeks ago (see picket reports at arscc-atl.com) came
out to talk to him. Then he came to talk to us again, and reaffirmed
that we had every right to be there, but we must not block their
driveway. Oh, and before the culty came out, he looked at the couple
other culties who were putting up their gardening tools, then asked
us if they were bothering us! We assured them that we were all being
friendly, and that we would never dream of blocking the culties
driveway - after all, someone might be trying to escape!
About 1:00, Susan the DSA showed up. She mostly talked with Mad_Cow,
so I will let him report on what was said. A little while later, we
decided to break for lunch. After a lovely repast, we took Mad_Cow
to see the McPherson monument, and had a moment of silence for all
who fall in good causes.
We returned to the cult storefront a little before 5:00. Within
minutes the woman who had spoken with the policeman earlier came
out, and said that she had a message for ethercat and me (except she
made a point of calling us by our given names) - that there were a
dozen people picketing our house at (our address). She then turned
and ran - and I mean RAN - back into the building. EC immediately
called a friend to go check. A while later the call came back - no
picketers there.
We continued picketing, laughing at how stupid and predictable the
brainwashed culties were, claiming to be picketing us when they
weren't. But apparently the were stalking our house, because Susan
came back a little later. We asked her why there were no picketers,
and she claimed that they had already been called back, then
proceded to give us a very inaccurate description of our friend who
had gone to check on things for us. We told her that we believed she
was lying, and there had never been a picket, just a bunch of
cowards stalking a private residence. We picketed until 7:00, and
then headed for home to check out our video tapes.
When we got home, sure enough, there was a religious bigOT flyer in
the mailbox across the street. Since we wouldn't want the poor
culties getting in trouble with the postal authorities for illegally
putting their flyer in a mailbox, we removed it. A poorly done
thing, with unbelievably bad pictures of the three of us from the
morning's picket, and the phrase 'Religious Bigots' in sloppy
looking lettering, seemingly printed wita dot matrix printer...
We checked out our video's, and then wished the bovine a safe
journey home. within 10 minutes Susan and 3 of her cronies showed up
with their (really crappy looking) picket signs, and began picketing
our home. We grabbed the vid-cam and I got some great pictures (we
will web them soon) while ethercat called the police - just as I
have said, here and elsewhere, we would do if they ever tried
picketing our house. It took the local police less than 10 minutes
to respond, with 2 cars. One of the officers, after determining that
I was not with the picketers, asked me to turn the camera off, which
I did. Susan immediately came up to the officers, and started
telling her story, that we were religious bigots who had been
harassing her church, and that this was the only way they knew to
handle us, and that what they were doing was legal, because she had
asked a passing bicycle officer earlier, and been told that it was.
Ethercat insisted that the officers check with their superiors,
which they did. They then told Susan that she was in violation of
City Ordinance 106-89, picketing in a residential neighborhood, and
that she and the other picketers would have to leave. They cast a
few really mean looks at us, but what could they do? I had warned
them!
What next? We will see...

Pickets are the one thing that Scientology hates the most because
they can't lie to their members about it, at least to the ones who
see it.. They can't demonstrate their OT abilities and 'postulate'
people away using Tone 40, which invalidates them. This is a direct
confront to their great powers and is what they hate the most and
all the lies they tell their members is only a picket away from
revealing itself.
