Here is the text of the letter delivered in my mother's mailbox by an OSA
operative, who made the delivery at the risk of death or permanent disfigurement
by my mother's dog Woozel.
ROBERT S. MINTON & STACY BROOKS YOUNG
THE TRUTH BEHIND THE LIES
Robert Minton and Stacy Young have blatantly lied to the American public and
media about our Church, its members, its goals and actions. We refuse to allow
our religion to be smeared and maligned any longer.
Minton has held himself out on national television and to the press to be an
upstanding citizen but he is using his many millions of dollars to force his own
bigoted views onto our Church and its parishioners and, to so reform it. (Most
ironically, Minton is not and has never been a member of our Church and has no
personal first-hand knowledge of its teachings and activities. He promotes an
agenda of bigotry.)
Minton told the media that he was coming to the aid of two poor Church
detractors, Vaughn and Stacy Young, by purchasing them a $250,000 house in
Seattle, Washington plus giving them tens of thousands of dollars in cash to
support them.
What Minton didn't say was that his money also bought a very expensive mistress
- a married woman who split up with her husband of 20 years after spending yet
another weekend with Bob Minton in New Hampshire recently. While deceptively
portraying himself on television to be a happily married family man with two
young daughters, in reality Minton was regularly flying Stacy Young around the
country engaging in these trysts whenever he felt like it.
Minton made a lot of his money, he says, by helping Nigeria and other third
world country's dictatorial leadership to successfully default on multimillion
dollar loans. Everyone with the inside knowledge benefited but, as events and
statistics show, while millions are siphoned off in "commissions" and lenders
had to write off huge losses, the leaders of Nigeria completely ignored the
human suffering and misery of its citizens. Is this how men of principle act?
This is not the first time Stacy compromised her integrity for the money.
Because of her vendetta against members of our Church she once sold a supporting
declaration to an attorney representing a known con man who had been imprisoned
for faking death threats, falsely claiming they were from Scientologists and
lying to the FBI about them.
Stacy Young and Robert Minton have failed to conduct themselves
decently toward our Church. They have instead chosen to lie to the
media and public all the while secretly conducting a amorous
relationship.
They have demonstrated that truth has no place on their agenda.
This is just one example. We will keep the public informed about the
real Robert Minton and Stacy Brooks in future editions of this leaflet.
