Vegas Update - CCHR - Citizens Commission on Human Rights

Earlier this month I had spotted a large bus-stop advertisement by the
CCHR.  To this day it is still there.  It is an interesting
advertisement in that is says in large letters, top to bottom, 
"PSYCHIATRY HARMS".  

This billboard is in front of the University of Las Vegas School of
Medicine on West Charleston.  This area has a lot of hospital type
buildings, including something called a Trauma Center.

This is quite different from their typical and ludicrous chant of
'psychiatry kills'.

The ad also say's:
"They said it would quiet down your child.
You didn't expect a deadly silence."

That word 'deadly' is nice to see.  sure it is not as good as 'death
or murder or kills', but it counts for something.

There is a picture of a boy about 12-14 years old (still alive) and
with no ice-picks sticking out of his head.
(hardly seems like CCHR does it?)

Now, the next thing of course was to track the monkeys down, to see if
they actually have an address for this fantastic CCHR Las Vegas.

First I made a call to each of the orgs here, then to the CCHR itself.
The results........

The little org, CCLV, was answered by a young girl.  She knew nothing,
including what CCHR meant.  I had asked for the address and phone for
'cchr' on purpose, wanted to give whoever answered some warning if
they were clever enough.  She turned me over to some guy, again this
was a voice I did not recognize.  He quickly found the phone number
for CCHR, but had no address listed.

Next I call the big org.  Again a young guy answers, again I don't
recognize the voice.  He knows exactly what CCHR is, but it takes him
about 5 minutes to find the phone number.  He also has no address
listed, but, he has a fax number, so I take that.

None of these people ever questioned why I wanted the CCHR.  Too bad,
I was going to tell them that the psychs here wanted to neuter two of
my children because they are hyperactive.

So now the final call, the biggie, I call the CCHR.
BAH!  An answering machine.  I called about 2pm today, Wednesday, so
if there was a real office it would have been open.

The conclusion - the CCHR here is just an answering machine, no
address at all.

I tested and it really is a fax machine, at least it has that hissing.

Now just for the record, as far as that thing I wrote about the psychs
wanting to neuter my children.  Well that is only partially true, the
neutering has nothing to do with me personally.  But, the Vegas Psychs
are pushing for something they are calling:
NCNW (National Child Neuter Week)
This is not for all children, only those hyperactive ones who do not
respond to drugs.

Perhaps this is what the CCHR is hoping to address with that
billboard.
